God created You to be with Him

In Psalm 100:3 the writer says “Know that the Lord is God.  It is He who made us, and we are his.”
God’s desire is to have a real, personal and intimate relationship with you.  That is why He created you, it’s what gives meaning and purpose to your life.

Our sins separate us from God

In Romans 3:23 Paul writes that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Every one of us are born into an existence of sin.  In His love God created us with the freedom to choose to follow Him or reject Him, and the reality is that all of us at some point in our lives sin by rejecting Him.  In rejecting God and His righteous ways we create a great divide between ourselves and the One Holy God and the payment of death became the penalty for our sin.

Sins cannot be removed by good deeds

In Ephesians 3:8-9 Paul writes that “it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”  The prophet Isaiah said in 64:6 “our righteous acts are like filthy rags.”  So our best deeds are not good enough to repair the divide between ourselves and the One Holy God.

Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again

In Romans 5:8 Paul writes that “while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  God’s righteous Son paid the penalty for us.

Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life

“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”  By confess our sin and Christ as our Lord; trusting in Him, we have the hope of eternal life.

Life eternal begins NOW

We don’t have to wait to die to have fellowship with Christ, to experience His Spirit in our lives; it happens the moment we surrender to him.  Jesus said in John 10:10b “I have come that you might have life, and have it to the full.”  The Christian life is a life of freedom, a life of hope, a life of fellowship with the God of the universe.
