Pastor Mark Dickson has served at Sun Prairie for the past 24 years with his wife Dee. They have two grown daughters who grew up in Salem and now live with their families in larger cities (Madison, SD and Red Wing, MN). Prior to his ministry at Sun Prairie he was an associate pastor in Minnesota. He grew up in Michigan where he received a bachelors degree from Calvin College. He obtained a Master of Divinity degree from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul. Mark enjoys being a participant and spectator for all kinds of sports. He has grown to love life in rural South Dakota and the time he spends biking and riding horses. Pastor Mark enjoys preaching and is committed to presenting the word of God in a manner that is true to intent of God and practical for the person living in our modern culture. He is also very active in the Sun Prairie youth ministry and loves to lead worship with his guitar, as it is his desire to lead others into the presence of the Almighty.
Dee Dickson was hired on as part-time administrative assistant in 2013. Her mission is to glorify God by providing information and administrative services necessary to keep a growing church moving forward. Her duties include weekly video editing/uploading, website management, creating weekly bulletins, maintaining the church calendar, and being the “information liaison” for all happenings at Sun Prairie. Dee grew up as a Pastor’s Kid in Grand Rapids, MI watching her mother serve as administrative assistant with her husband for many years. Dee loves to spend time with her grandchildren, reading a good book, running, riding her horse or biking with her husband & friends (especially when it’s sunny). She is also active leading women’s bible studies at Sun Prairie.
